If I've ever seen investment opportunity in the housing market, this summer feels near perfect.  National statistical reports are stating that values are at 2002 levels, inventories are increasing to bloated proportions, credit is tight and unemployment is high.  These are unfortunate satistics for many but a golden opportunity for others.

The near perfect storm of these conditions create fantastic opportunity for real estate investors.  Those with the ability to purchase existing housing can increase their portfolios of investment properties at values not seen in decades.  They may have to hold the investments for a few years, but long term the payoff could be tremendous while in the meantime enjoying a strong rental market.  

Great time to bust open that piggy bank and invest in rental real estate!
