The HGTV network is giving away a new home in the Albuquerque area. The HGTV Dream Home 2010 is a 3,900-square-foot showpiece in the San Pedro Overlook at Campbell Ranch community on the east side of the Sandia Mountains.

Sales of single family detached homes were up nearly 60% this November over November 2008 for the best November performance since 2006. The 646 homes sold were a 57% jump from a year earlier. Sales of single family detached homes in metro Albuquerque increased during October, defying the traditional seasonal slowdown. The 731 detached homes sold during October were an 11% increase over the 661 homes sold during September.
